A New Extreme Visitor ~ 12 Feb 2019

Today and tomorrow we have company - company who has traveled a long way and a long time to visit. Over the next two days, the Extreme Trans-Neptunian Object (ETNO) Comet Iwamoto passes as close to Earth as it gets in its 1,371 year orbit. Next time it appears will be in 3,390. So unless you’re planning to reincarnate then, look to the sky and absorb the essence!

As of 10 February the comet lined up at 15 Virgo 9; come 18 February it transits through 23 Cancer 10. Very fast movement results from its closest Earth proximity. Not only does the comet pass through half of Virgo, and a third of Cancer in the next six days, it also zip lines through Leo at 66 km/sec some 28 million miles away. This part of the transit stands out as potentially most influential as the comet’s north node weighs in at 27 Leo.

Those with binoculars and telescopes are able to key in on the comet for very fine, inspiring viewing. A quick Google search should line you up with some inspiring images that work well for the comet’s internal Leonine message.

Comets are interesting creatures. They look like fireballs, but actually are streaming balls of ice and dust activated by solar influences to put on a spectacular celestial show with a tail that resembles plumage.

Historically, notable comets have long portended the downfalls of leaders. Comet Halley has its years of correspondence with political upheavals. Comet Kohoutek appeared during Watergate. Guess we’re in a bit of a wait and see mode to figure what Iwamoto has in mind.

No matter if Iwamoto brings a change of leadership somewhere on the world, perhaps the personal import is worth a check in. Given its Leo Node it appears to be about self portrayal. Is the image presented true to the core of the soul? Does the time spent in any scenario occur long enough to make a lasting impression? Are you tracking exactly as you might want? Are you being seen for whom you are? If not, this is a time for some image enhancement, rebranding and tweaking.

Today, the Virgo energy might look into reflection and make a face of disapproval. Not to worry. Look within, determine core aspects of the soul seeking sincere expression. Bring those forward. Within a week, as the comet slides into Cancer, the altered fit inside likely feels like home.

Also within the week (two days actually) Mars migrates from his home turf of Aries into Taurus.

Given that he aligns with Uranus as he does, things seem more than a rush. Perhaps the best motto for the next couple of days is: “Be quick, but do not hurry.” Maybe, watch out for the other guy and any accidental obstacles that might be tossed in your path, and stay clear on your objective. The clearly defined objective held in the core of the soul.

Yesterday while driving back from a film festival in Boulder City, Nevada, I passed over the gorge near Hoover Dam and over elevated land near the Grand Canyon and Arizona’s high country. While cooperatively sharing Arizona highways with other drivers traversing the ups and downs of the roads, I spent a good bit of time pondering the Mars-Uranus conjunction and the ingress of both in Taurus (Uranus on 6 March).

Driving up a steep mountain incline that lies ahead provides a good visual. Should a driver accelerate and build up speed to race up the climb ahead? Should a driver be ready to downshift for more gear grit on the climb? When reaching the summit of the next ascent, does the pitch and intensity change? Do things ease up? Does life throttle down? Can the long range objective be realized or from that new elevated vantage does it appear the same?

Ah, as Mars and Uranus plow through Taurus perhaps it is a good idea to remember what seeds are sown and what crop is cultivated.

Perhaps the last days of the Mars-Uranus in Aries remind all to take a refined, renewed look at goals and objectives. Perhaps one is summoned by Comet Iwamoto to review the core elements of the soul that seek accurate expression. Truly, this is a time of transition into different arenas. The radical rebellious flaunting of self needs to find a fit in the mundane practicalities that lie at the top of the next crest.

More soon.
